On the occasion of the Edit in Naples , I chose to spend a night in a wonderful apartment in the city of naples. When I can I prefer not to give in to the super-calorie breakfasts in the hotel in favour of niches the more intimate and personal. And here is my little house neapolitan for a little less than a day: a mix of antiques with a few pieces of contemporary works of art and details reminiscent of Naples and the travel of the master of the house.
The entrance door opens right onto the living area with a comfortable sofa bed to the right and the dining table to the left. Usually I don’t like the combination of glass and polycarbonate transparent, but I have to admit that in this case the cushions and the structure of the table, have helped the final result.
In the back of the room to the kitchen, made of masonry and covered with blue tiles. Beautiful heads brown ceramic glossy glazed to contrast with the cabinets white, they balance perfectly the game of the colors of the kitchen.
From the living room, opposite the kitchen, you catch a glimpse of thecloset of the sleeping area, the brilliant idea of covering the doors with two mirrors that give the place an incredible depth.
The bedroom is a play on the symmetry, the two drawers antique are illuminated by two floor lamps in brass, with a large lampshade, cylindrical, and separated from the door window. Symmetric also the sculturine and frameworks, albeit with different subjects.
Also the bed is positioned between two symmetrical gates: one leading to the bathroom, the other to a practical utility room. The opening on the head of the bed helps the lighting of the bathroom. Also in this case the symmetry is broken by small details: the pumo place on only one of the two twin night stands, large French prints on the walls, in the shades of red or light blue.
If the home tour, loved it, and you plan to stay in Naples the Inn the First Floor will not disappoint: the location is very central, the owner very friendly and helpful and the house is…you.
